A walk in the park & co.

So we made our way to downtown Munich for a free 3 hour guided walk tour of the old town. It was given by an Australian, which was pretty funny but since he works for tips....he made it very interesting. Then we kinda walked around and detected touristic stores and compared prices of a 1 Liter stein (mug). So the price varied from 5.95€ I in the supermarket to 13.90€ in a very touristic shop. People are funny...LOL.
Then we had a little too much beer, some Bavarian food and wine. We found that German purity law (AKA Bavarian law) limits the ingredients in beer which inadvertently limits the varieties of beer produced here. The 4 allowed ingredients are water, yeast, hops and malt! So microbreweries are rare because there is limited ways in producing beer.
So our day was mostly beer oriented and ended with a Bavarian food experiment (pretzel soup, pork knuckle and a funny cheese plate!).
Anyways, we met GREAT people during our dinner. Gene and Mira (from Michigan/Zurich), it was a pleasure having diner with you. It reminded me why I love to travel....meeting people, getting to know them no matter were they are from and enjoying the company and stories of all. I hope our paths will cross again.... Anywhere in the world would be cool.
So, off we go back to our hotel via the S2 train. Tomorrow is another day. Nobody knows how it will go down and how it will end, but we are enjoying it!
